CardamomCo was born from a deep-rooted connection to Kerala's spice-growing heritage and a passion for sharing the authentic flavours of the Western Ghats with Canadian kitchens. As a BC-based importer and distributor, we specialize in pure, handpicked Indian spices primarily sourced from our own family farm and a trusted network of small growers across Kerala.
Our journey began with a simple idea: chefs and retailers in North America deserve better access to high-quality, single-origin spices that are sustainably grown and transparently sourced. Tired of diluted, blended, and stale products dominating the market, we set out to build something better a clean, ethical supply chain from farm to kitchen.
Today, we deliver vibrant, small-batch spices like green cardamom, Tellicherry pepper, mace, cloves, nutmeg, and true cinnamon to chefs, restaurants, and specialty retailers across British Columbia. Every spice is packed fresh in Canada for peak aroma, traceability, and freshness.

Green Cardamom
Often sourced from our own family farm, these bold green pods are intensely aromatic with a eucalyptus-like freshness. Perfect for both savoury and sweet dishes.
Tellicherry Black Pepper
Harvested from the Malabar Coast, bold Tellicherry peppercorns ripen longer for fuller, fruitier heat and rich oil. Ideal for clean, biting warmth.
Mace
Delicate and fragrant, mace is the lacy cover of nutmeg. Sun-dried to preserve its vibrant saffron color and floral aroma. A favorite in biryanis.
Cloves
Sustainably grown and carefully dried for high oil concentration, our cloves deliver a deep, sweet pungency and intense warmth.Excellent in spice blends, marinades, and slow-cooked dishes.
Whole Nutmeg
Each nutmeg seed is dense, aromatic, and bursting with essential oils. Freshly grated, it imparts a sweet, earthy complexity to both sweet and savoury recipes.
Cassia Cinnamon
For our restaurant supply in Phase 1, we offer bold, high-oil cassia cinnamon sourced from Vietnam through a trusted partner in India. Known for its thick bark and intense aroma, this variety brings warmth and strength to biryanis, curries, chai, and commercial spice blends.

At CardamomCo, our sourcing model is built on relationships not middlemen. Many of our spices come from our own family farm in Kerala or from trusted friends, smallholder growers, and partner estates across the Western Ghats. Every lot is hand-selected, lab-tested, and shipped with care.
Our spices are grown in biodiverse, forest-fringe regions using traditional methods often under shade trees, without synthetic boosters. To protect this ecosystem and ensure long-term quality, we prioritize growers who follow regenerative and low-impact practices.
Once harvested, spices are cleaned, sorted, and vacuum sealed at source. Upon arrival in British Columbia, they’re stored in food-safe containers, packed in small batches, and distributed locally to reduce waste and preserve freshness.

Food Safety & Quality
We conduct comprehensive testing for pesticide residues and quality markers before import to meet Canadian food safety standards.
Farmer First Pricing
We plan to implement a Farmer First Pricing Policy paying select smallholders 10% above market to secure top-quality harvests.
Sustainable Practices
Spices are grown using traditional methods under shade trees, without synthetic boosters, following regenerative and low-impact practices.
